Ada was born in a large family. Her real name is Ada Ogochukwu Ehi and her surname at birth is Ndukauba. Her parents are Victor and Mabel Ndukauba. Together with her three brothers, she used to listen to all kinds of the gospel songs that their parents would often play to the kids. At the age of 10, she joined Tosin Jegede’s girl group as a backup singer. It was a real breakthrough for Ada’s career. She graduated from Lagos State University where she studied Chemical and Polymer engineering. While in school, she joined the Christian gospel group called Believers Love World local Campus Fellowship. Her gospel-singing career continued in the Christ Embassy Presidential Choir. It was a great platform to develop and promote her professional skills.
Since Ada Ehi joined the Christ Embassy Choir, she has been an active participant at all the musical events conducted by the Music Ministry of Christ Embassy. She has continuously performing at concerts held in Europe, African countries and America. Her first album was “Undenied”. It was released in 2009, while her subsequent albums named ‘Lifted’ and ‘So Fly’ came out in 2013. In October 2017, Ada’s third album ‘Future Now’ took the top spot on iTunes Nigeria the same day it was released. At present time, Ada Ehi is an internationally known songwriter and gospel singer. She is very popular in Nigeria. Her career path started when she was only 10. She made her way from being a backup singer for a gospel child star to a successful African artist. Ada has become so prominent that she was included on the list of YNaija’s “Top 100 Christian personalities of Nigeria that have the greatest influence on culture”. She was mentioned alongside Sinach, Joe Praize and Frank Edwards.
